“Very niche” - that’s how someone described what I’m doing on this site when I explained it to them. They were implying that only a small number of people would ever be interested in this.

At first it made me question whether this was worth doing. Was this a good use of my time and effort?

Then it reminded me of Abraham pleading for Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 18.
Abraham asked God if he’d spare the city if there were 50 righteous people in it? Or 45? 40? 30? 20? or 10?

How many people will need to read this for it to be worth me doing it?

But, that’s the wrong question.
The right question is “why do I do this?”

The answer to that question isn’t about the numbers.

The primary reason for this site is my benefit. It gives me an extra reason and motivation to study the bible.
Doing all that for only my benefit seems like a potential waste of my effort and so I share here too. I know some people read and appreciate it. Maybe (hopefully?) that number will grow in the future.

I have hopes that there will be other ways I can use all this in the future. Right now, I’m going to keep reading the bible and getting to know God better by reflecting scripture through a lens that I’m more familiar with.
And then sharing that here.

Enjoy. (If you read this.)
