In the beginning, there was just one programming language. Excited by the possibilities of what people could do with it, they began to work together piling code on top of code until something both impressive and worrying emerged.

GOD took a concerned interest in what was happening. Determining that there were potential issues (good and bad) with everyone using a single programming language, GOD caused people to start using different programming languages.

Like spoken languages, there was much variety among the programming languages in use. Some made it possible to communicate with people using different programming languages, while others didn’t. Some were easy to learn, while others were more obscure and esoteric.

Sadly, the use of different programming languages caused some people to separate from those who use a different one. They also judged people on the programming language(s) they used, focusing on the negatives and driving away people with whom they had a connection and shared interest.
